Hi, Just found this in a magazine and thought I would post it for all you mums who like me worry about whether their toddlers are getting enough of the requirements. Has food group, what one serve equals and how many serves they need. BREADS AND CEREALS : 1yr = 4 serves 2yr = 4 serves One serve is : 2 plain biscuits, 1/2 to 1 cup cereal, 1/2 cup porridge, 1 slice bread, 1/2 bread roll, 1 cereal, 1/2 cup pasta/rice FRUIT AND VEGETABLES : 1yr = 3 serves 2yr = 4 serves One serve is : 1 piece fruit, 125ml fruit juice, 1/4 cup vegetables, 1/2 potato, 1/2 carrot DAIRY FOODS : 1yr = 3 serves 2yr = 3 serves One serve is: 200ml milk, 200ml yoghurt, 200ml custard, 40g cheese MEAT AND ALTERNATIVES : 1yr = 1 serve 2yr = 2 serves One serve is : 30g meat, fish or poultry, 1 egg, 1/s cup baked beans, 1 fish finger FATS AND OILS : 1yr = 1 serve 2yr = 1 serve One serve is 2 teaspoons Hope this helps :)
